Dammit, I just missed being able to post a message for Saturday...the real update will be here soon!

Okay...oy, wow, yup, BOY was I tired today at work. Exhausted. I vowed to go straight home to bed but our friend Jen from BU was in town...BU (Boston University) students are taking over Sydney--it's crazy. I went out to dinner with Jen and some friends @ my favourite Indian restaurant where the service sucks but the food is great. We had a very good time, but we were all ready to go to bed by 9pm. It's going on 11.30pm now...I walked Jen back from Newtown to grab her Glebe bus and now my body is ready to die. Me need sleep! More stuff on the band comp soon!

Oy, boy am I gonna be tired @ work today! It's going on 4am and I just got home from the National Campus Band Comp National Final....and the winner is: Couchgrinder from Victoria! Woo-hoo! I predicted these guys would win and I got to chat with them all a bit and they're really sweet guys to boot. Okay, I just wrote a novella and I accidentally deleted it all--the joys of the notepad mouse!

Okay, I am really going to bed now, but just wanted to say thank you to Ben for a verrrrrrrry good chat. I love it when I get thinking about stuff I've ignored or avoided for too long. And it's pretty funny because some of tonight's topics were topics that I covered in some songs I wrote and was looking at earlier today as well as yesterday...do-do-do-do-DO...great minds! :)

And another creepy yet cool thing is that I was listening to "Beautiful Day" by U2 yet again and it was just finishing up on my computer when all of a sudden I heard it starting up again and just as I was wondering, "huh?" I realised that while it was ending on my computer, it was just starting up on a promo on the television, so I didn't even have to press repeat! Thanks to Channel 10 ;)

I just got back from my first home-cooked Indian meal with Jorge, Ray, Heather, and Sojan. Yum! Many thanks to Heather and her first Indian cuisine cooking attempt under the watchful eye and tutoring of Sojan! It was excellent! Especially the chicken tikkas...I'm salivating just thinking about them! My oven isn't working yet again, so I couldn't make dessert, but boy do I buy a mean bavarian chocolate creme pie.

As Good As It Gets is on now and I remember how excited I was to first watch this movie and keep track of all the OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) symptoms of Jack Nicholson's character. This movie is a Psych major's dream.

This week should prove to be an interesting one musically. Tomorrow night I might go try to see Boss Hog (hopefully--how delicious are Jon Spencer and Cristina Martinez?) @ the Metro. Nitocris is playing a free gig @ the UNSW Roundhouse on Wednesday, and Thursday is the National Campus Band Comp National Finals @ Sydney Uni (also free).

I started writing a song in the shower this morning (typical me) and then I lost it, but now it's coming back...I wonder how many songs I've "lost"....where the heck do those babies go? I should e-mail my old neurospsych professor and bug her about it ;)
