In preparation for tomorrow:
Happy Birthday to me,
Happy Birthday to me,
Happy Birthday, dear MEEEE-EEEE
Happy Birthday to me!
And many more.....yadda yadda.
The big 24th approacheth, tomorrow June 7th.
In order to be a big pain in the ass, I've decided to celebrate my birthday Thursday and Friday, since it won't actually be my birthday until Thursday in the US, which is Friday here. Awfully convenient for me, isn't it?
I finally took a day off work today, after being sick for a week and a half. Oy, so here's hoping I am feeling good tomorrow and can actually have my birthday dinner. I came down with the flu ON my birthday last year. I obviously was trying to start earlier this year, but no luck! If anyone walking by City Road today felt something hit them, it might have been a piece of my lung that was coughed up today. Coughing fits galore. Okay, right. Enough gross stuff :)
I can't believe I might have failed to mention it here, but a big ole thanks to Mr. B for sending those flowers for no reason whatsoever. Very much appreciated. :)
I'm attempting to finish my 5/31 entry now, we'll see what happens.
I ran into a dodgy character from my past in the doctor's office yesterday. What are the chances, people? Of all the doctors' offices in Sydney, of all the days, of all the hours--and I run into someone I know? I hid behind a magazine, so all was well....
I had my "weird soup" phase today: Thai pumpkin with coconut soup, red lentil with lemon soup, etc. etc. Lovely weather today. Warm for winter.
How unfortunate that I can't talk about other certain things that are going on, but I will say this. My "special" writing project is coming along, slooooowly, but surely, so that's good. How boring was that announcement?
Over the weekend, I watched Pulp Fiction (For class) and Grosse Point Blank (for kicks). I would rant about dvd players and the whole "regions" fiasco, but I'm too tired. Needless to say, I'm peeved that I can't just go back and forth between watching US DVDs and AUS DVDs. Can't we all just get along? All CDs are good to go in any old player, dammit!
Happy birthday (tomorrow) to Dave and Tim as well.
Back to hacking (coughing, not techie stuff!)
